- This tough patent leather finish virtually eliminates shoe maintenance. Rinse with cool water and wipe with a soft cloth after each game. Do not use chemicals of any kind! The leather is not as durable as a full grain leather. We cannot guarantee these shoes against the nicks and scrapes that occasionally are part of officiating. If your shoes are damaged, we suggest you smooth the area with a fine grain sand paper, then treat the damaged area with a careful coat or two of Leather Luster (our product BA156) to raise a nearly identical finish. Leather Luster does not recommend its product for the repair of patent leather shoes.
