- Black pads and 1/2 black 1/2 deerskin are Wilson's wrap-around pads that cover the bars to prevent the metal frame from contacting the face if the mask becomes dislodged due to a foul ball. Tan deerskin pads and 1/2 royal blue 1/2 tan are the traditional mask pads that do not wrap around.
